This one is going to annoy a lot of people, but you don't really need more than a dual core with hyper threading for web work. 46,000 Octane which would kill all of last years best Chromebooks!

Ok, the main pain point for some will no touch, which I personally never use. The second is 4GB?! Yes, 4GB still works well -0 IF you have a powerful processor to help it. I still daily use a Dell Inspiron 14 CB 7486 with 4GB RAM with a i3 that gets ~33-35k Octane. Only has issues if I get ridiculous with tabs and never shutting down. And by ridiculous I mean 35+ tabs in each of 2-3+ windows.

Oh, don't forget to check your cashback sites!

What's good about it?

Processor - Fast
Screen 14" and 300nits
Lenovo keyboard can only suck so much
Not enough storage - go to ebay and find a used nvme drive.

Yeah, you can buy a cheap windows computer that can "do more", but it'll remind you it's windows. Chrome OS - just do whatever it is you want to do. No maintenance. But that's Chrome OS in general, you'll just do it a lot faster than even... a Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. for instance.

Processor - Intel® Pentium® Gold 7505 (2.00 GHz, up to 3.50 GHz with Turbo Boost, 2 Cores, 4 Threads, 4 MB Cache)
Operating System - Chrome OS
Display Type - 14.0" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, anti-glare, 300 nits
Memory - 4 GB LPDDR4X 3733MHz (Soldered)
Hard Drive - 128 GB PCIe SSD <<--m.2 2242 NVMe
Warranty - 1 Year Depot
Graphics - Integrated Intel® UHD Graphics
Camera - 720p HD

As expected, I'm annoyed by the specs.

$289.99 on Passport/EPP.

Throw in some cashback and a June 2029 minimum support date and it'll surf the web and annoy you without an ounce of care.

I'm not annoyed by the spec. I'm annoyed by the price it released at, and even the price it is at now.

Too many better chromeo options at this price point.

On the plus side, prices are dropping. The excitement is in gaming laptops. Everything else is seeing price competition, even for the magical Macs.

Spend a $120 more and get the 2020 i5 Acer 713 and run laps around this mediocre deal at best when it goes on sale. This isn't the deal.

Bro, I love the 713 CB, but it's slower!

Yeah, under really crazy strain you might notice the 713 difference though.

Only reason it might be slower is because it is driving that 3:2, 2K screen. ChromeOS really needs to add hardware acceleration support
