"you will get 5600x in that range this coming black friday, and you dont want to buy 3700x since your mother board will support up to 5000 series and thats the last am4 it will support, so dont buy 3700x instead buy 5000 if you plan to use your motherboard for a while"

Agree. I have one a little over 2 hrs away. But its in a state that charges sales tax and I live in one that doesn't. So it ruins it even for a day trip to go check it out.

If you are looking for something while waiting for a graphics card get a 5600g or 5700g. The 5700g should be good for 1080p gaming.

regarding waiting until BF - if you can wait, you should always wait. otherwise you spent more on hardware that you wouldn't really be gaining appreciable performance (main reason why i'm still keeping my 8600k even though i'm looking for every excuse to upgrade...).
the other big thing is pcie gen 4 - if you have a use for it now or in the near future, then the 5000 series makes more sense. if not, don't worry too much about it, since you'll be keeping your pc as long as possible (so futureproofing doesn't really apply). this might sound counter-intuitive - but in 5+ years, you'll most likely want to upgrade your entire platform, not just the pcie devices (gpu, ssd).
this is just my 2 cents, and i'd be happy to hear from others' input.

yes i will use it for medium gaming like Diablo 2 R, PoE 2, Dota, CS GO, Diablo 4 (if good). So prob will wait for 5600x to get down in price. My current setup is i5-2500K, 16 gb ddr2 ram, GTX 560 Ti.
