What are you talking about. Series 1 and this no improvement . Get out of here. Anything else you say lost all credibility. 20% of the time the screen comes on, really? I know it's not perfect but come on!
It hasn't been officially announced yet but Apple is consistent on when they have events which would be next month in September. Rumors are they will announce the next iPhone and watch at that time. Nobody knows anything with 100% certainty, but dedicated websites with Apple news usually have some legitimate sources and people who are pretty damn accurate at their predictions.
How come this is upvoted and my earlier post was downvoted?
I just checked, looks like you posted about Costco having the deal. Since you need a membership to shop at Costco it's not considered as good a deal than shopping at Target. That's my guess. Though sometimes same deals get front-page while others just fall through the cracks.

Also Targets deal is better $ wise if you have a red card with additional 5% off.
Tempting. Just wondering if they will go any lower after the new one is (supposedly) released next month, or is this as good as it will get?
Amazon have some colors at $354.99…
It sure will go down after new one is released, it just matters of how long you are going to wait. The series 3 is selling for 160 now, it was selling about 400 bucks
just bought my series 6 $400+ 3 weeks ago - its a great watch for sure. Its my first apple watch, the battery actually last a little more than a day for me. charge was quick. use it to monitor heart rate mostly. and the convinient of taking calls without reaching pocket and phone was nice. But that feeling of paying stuff with your watch tho.. lol

For those on the fence, I just upgraded from a Series 1 hoping to get more battery life out over my aging device. This burns through battery at roughly the same rate likely because of its always on feature, which was a key feature for me because, despite lots of practice, the watch would only light up about 20% of the time when I tried to get it to from any angle other than raise arm from totally at my side and bend it. Annoying. Additionally, this comes with a bunch of bum settings turned on that ask me to stand in the middle of the night and other "wellness" distractions that pop up during my workday. There's also some issue where the phone will ring on my wrist but for whatever reason makes me touch it to see who is calling where previously it would just show me while ringing regardless of wrist position.
I don't see much appreciable improvement in app performance either.
I'm sure the SW things can be tweaked but who has the time to undo poor UX decisions?
This was kind of a waste.
Weird. I have a series 6 that is on 60% or more at the end of the day. The wellness notifications can be turned off if you don't want them.

Product Highlights mentions GPS models can take calls and reply to texts.

Check your heart rhythm with the ECG app2
The Always-On Retina display is 2.5x brighter outdoors when your wrist is down
S6 SiP is up to 20% faster than Series 5

My series 3 has still been going strong w/ no issues and battery life is great. Any particular reason you're upgrading?
Every upgrade for the OS, I'm forced to reinstall the watch because theres not enough storage to upgrade. I've loaded like nothing on the watch no pictures etc. and still have to do a complete reset of the watch.

Really? I have a series 6 and I can definitely say the battery is at least 50% better than the series 4 I had earlier. Also 99.9999% of the time the watch will light up when I raise my arm both in series 4 & 6. I have no clue how you compare series 1 and series 6 and say there is no considerable improvement. I can only laugh
