you can get any of the bands they offer on the watches' product page for free, you just need to apply the particular coupon code that applies to each band. If you just leave the default selected band (the sport ridge, for the watch4 non-classic), when you go to checkout, you'll see it listed at $0 due to a coupon that's automatically applied; if you pick any other band, it will be listed as a separate item at a cost.
The coupon that applies to the 'defaut band' is "ET", so if you want a different band, find the product number, "pre order it", and then create the coupon via the above method.

for example, say you wanted the "Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic Sport Band, S/M, Black" https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile...r86sbeguj/

The product/item/etc number (whatever it's called) for that particular band is sfr86sbeguj (you can find that in the URL or in the description just below the name on it's product page). Click preorder to add it to your cart, then capitalize all letters of the product id and prepend "ET" to the front, and add that as a coupon. For the above band, the coupon would be "ETSFR86SBEGUJ". Note you'll need to remove the band that you chose with the watch if applicable (only one band coupon appears to apply at once), and the coupon doesn't work if you just try to order a band by itself (I tried)

Ordered 44mm today on Samsung and trade in my active 2 (150 trade in). With EPP came out to 120 after tax with a sport band, plus a 50 dollar credit voucher.

Ordered off Samsung, got the edu discount and used my $50 credit to get combo wireless charger. Honey also offered $50 in rewards for my purchase so overall I feel pretty good!

How did you manage that? I'm seeing the $150 for the active 2 trade, but the 40 mm watch is $99 and apparently you have to buy a band separately for $40. So it's $140 for the 40mm and $168 for the 44mm. Even with EPP I'm seeing a pretty small discount that wouldn't get the watch, band, and credit down to $120 for the 44mm.

edit: I see the 40 mm is just over $120 with a band on EPP. I guess if you're including the 12% cash back and not counting tax, maybe that's how you're figuring about $120 for the 44mm...

If you have an eligible watch to trade in, think buying it on Samsung.com is better. Was able to get $100 for my old Gear S3.
Glanced at ebay and looks like $100 is more than what you can sell it for used. Especially figuring in shipping and fees.

Only thing that sucks about Watch 3/4 is the removal of Samsung Pay MST. Very valuable if you live in the states.

I have a Gear S2 Classic that isn't even an option for trade in, unfortunately.
FYI on Samsung you can get 75 off Buds2 instead of just 50.

New to Honey, how do you know the $50 in rewards activated? I saw the $50 popup, activated it, checked out and my honey activity says:

"Samsung Pending|1-6%"

Should it show something different? Because if I did it wrong (due to samsungs glitchy site) i need to cancel and re-order before the deal expires or it ships

I am assuming Samsung doesn't have plans to update the current flagship Watches to the latest Wear OS. Not that my Watch 3 sucks or it doesn't work, just curious. It would be nice since Wear OS has more apps and Google assistant too. No wonder why Samsung is unable to create a good and reliable ecosystem like Apple. This kind of crap is why I don't want to invest in anything Samsung. You are spending $1,000 for a phone and another $300-$400 for the Watch and you get a middle finger only after one year.

Not sure if this is a worthy upgrade from Gear S3.

1. New model design already looks identical.
2. Classic is same bulky design... barely more slim, if at all?
3. Google Maps might be nicest feature, but I've lived fine without it for years.
4. WearOS is welcome change, but doesn't appear it will change my experience much.
5. I give up Samsung Pay MST since Samsung has recently stripped it from all their watches and phones.
6. Performance and battery life is already fine.

Want to upgrade, but barely seems worth it! :/

If you buy direct from Samsung.com, they offer a $50 coupon as well. Also, a certain website now gives 12% back on Samsung.com purchases.
I checked out from Samsung.com earlier today and already received my cash back. Everyone should be aware that they are processing these orders at 2% back, not 12%, likely due to the inclusion of the $50 accessory credit which makes it count as "other". Perhaps if you spend the credit immediately on one of the items, then it will ring up at 12% cash back, but my experience was 2% with the $50 credit includes at checkout.

I doubt that it matters in terms of their cash back rate, but I also had a trade-in discount on my watch.

Looks like the aluminum watch is in more demand than the stainless one...Surprised that they sold out this fast though...

It does suck. I doubt the Watch 3 will see any more updates. At least I can trade it in now for more than I paid for it new last year...
