Even if the code was stolen/bad, your account would not get banned, only the game would be removed. Steam doesn't ban accounts for that.

Purchased and repped! Nice find. I'm still not sold on VR but there's nothing saying I won't be in the future and I love the Fallout series

Very good price but be warned it takes a bit of work to get this game feeling polished with mods and control scheme tuning. I have a Valve Index and the controls are really wonky on the Index controllers by default, but there are community control mappings you can download from Steam that help a lot with that particular issue. Not impossible to get this game feeling good, but it will take some effort and may disappoint the plug and play type of audience.

It does work, but it takes a little bit of effort. I haven't played steam on my quest in a while but when I did I used ALVR to stream to the quest from my desktop.

There are many many guides that are more up to date if you do a quick search.

In short. You will be able to get it working but you need some extra software which can be had for free.

Ok thank you. I will be doing my research. I had gotten it working months ago wireless and wired but it was very wonky, specially wireless. I'll take another look around as i have just gotten into the game on my ps4 and I really like the idea of it in VR. Again, thanks.

yeah it was wonky, but I think it's probably gotten better/easier but again, I haven't used the Quest in a while. Good luck!

None of that extra crap is needed anymore. Not to long ago they streamlined it all you need is desktop VR which every user should already have and steam vr that's it.

Don't have a VR, but this is a game I would borrow my friend's VR to play on. Let's go find some milk!

First you want to make sure your PC can handle the rift games. Oculus and steam VR have a test that you can run beforehand.

Then, you need a way to connect. You can either use the official link cable or a high-quality USB C cable, or go wireless.

Wireless is obviously better from an immersion perspective, though if you play for a long time you'll need a battery pack to attach to the quest. Also, for wireless really to work well, you need a dedicated 5 GHz access point in the same room. In fact, I put all my other access points in the house on 2.4 GHz so as not to interfere. Make the dedicated access point its own wireless network and only allow the quest to connect to it. All other household devices go on the other access points. You also need a way to pair it with your PC. Traditionally, this was done via the virtual desktop app which is a paid app, but now you can do with Oculus Airlink which is free under the beta features. Some people have had problems, but it worked fine in my use. Enable the Airlink under Beta/experimental settings in both quest and PC Oculus app. Then it will let you pair and play.

Regardless of the method you choose, once you are paired and in rift mode, you can hit play on the steam app on your PC to start the game. After you've played it once, it will appear in your rift home so you can just click on it with the touch controller to start it up without taking the headset off.

I did buy remote desktop but I couldn't figure out the right settings for it not to lag. This was back in November 2020 when I tried this. I have played babyhands wired. I have a anker I think 15 foot cable to connect to my pc. My specs are these. According to best buy

CyberPowerPC - Gamer Master Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 16GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT - 1TB HDD + 500GB SSD I'll give it a go again and I'll try disconnecting anything connecting to the 5ghz connection to see if it helps, as last time I tried I didn't try disconnection all the devices I had on that channel.

Thank you for the info
