FYI, these 3 models are all brand new inventory that had to be opened to convert to US powercord. These were originally built for EU market, but are being sold in US. (Great deal on a good monitor that is actually new) - Unlike the last open box sale, these 3 are actually just converted stock and not returns of any sort.
Could someone with more monitor knowledge explain the differences between the (2) 27" 4K ones listed here? Is the sRGB just more color accurate? Is there something else I'm missing / would lose out on if I go for the cheaper of the two. I would be using it as a secondary monitor not my main
That is entirely up to you, but you are getting this information from the Business Unit Manager @ Monoprice for gaming and display.
Our system has a standard lock for open box units regardless of how they were processed. We priced them appropriately due to the limited warranty we have to offer.
Looks like these all have HDMI 2.0? (not sure about vivid -- it doesn't say). I believe you will be limited to 4k@30Hz, and PS5 doesn't support DisplayPort. I am thinking of getting the 32" Ultra Slim, mostly for work, and maybe for slower-paced gaming like strategy games (I have a 27" 1440p 165Hz for the fast-paced stuff), but at least having the option to hook up my PS5 and do 4k@60Hz would be nice, so not sure.
Ah right, reading that there might be some limitations with HDR rendering, but should be a non-issue for most games.
I usually have issues when windows 10 tries to pass audio as well. Other than that, HDMI 2.0 4k@60hz HDR is ok. Though windows 10 handling HDR sucks the last time I checked.
Monoprice stated on their own site- those panels are made by LG.
Also, for Mac users, you are gonna be happier with the 27" than the 32". You can run it at reduced resolution to achieve an almost "retina" look.

Yep. This is why I pulled the trigger on the 27" vivid 4k. After going round and round om what monitor to get for my wife's M1 mac mini and TONS of research the best bet is a 27 inch 4k and using HiDP scaling (if you don't want to splurge on a 5k retina display)
That's a really good price on a 32" 4k IPS monitor. If only it had a proper warranty (instead of 90 days)...
The usual warranty is 1 yr. only 90 days sucks. The $200 price for the 32 in is excellent though. But i am wondering if these are return monitors with issues
I just need a 4k monitor for emails, MS office, spreadsheets, etc.
No gaming and no photo editing at all.
Are the specs on the 32" Monoprice Ultra Slim 3840x2160 4K 60Hz IPS Slim Monitor ideal for these types of tasks, or too much?
I'm in for one and that's roughly (add a bunch of terminal windows and text editors and remove spreadsheets and that's it) what I'm planning on doing with it.
One thing to remember is the dpi of a 32" 4k monitor. Keep these in mind:
21" 1920x1080 DPI: 104.9
34" 3440x1440 DPI: 109.68
32" 3840x2160 DPI: 137.68
If you're... well, getting up there in years and your eyesight maybe ain't what it used to be, the pixel density might not allow you to use it at its full resolution. But it's certainly better than a 27" 4k @ 163DPI, so there's that.

These are actually new, originally made for the EU market, so the "open box" on these three models, was simply to insert a US power cord.
Does the 32" have any built in support to mount a sound bar? If so is there some standard or type of mount I should be looking for that attaches to it?

Proof? they should really be factory refurb with full warranty

you can sorta hang a speaker bar if you can find one that have some sort of attachment to the bottom back of the monitor which has a ledge if you look at picture 3 from here: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=27772
