People that downplay 10in subs are the same people that try to cram eight 15in subs in their shitbox car and think it sounds great!

You mean it's a "sound" deal.

Yes and no. The PB1000 (non pro) is a 10" sub. The RSL Speedwoofer 10S is also a 10" woofer. There's quite a few high performance "small" subs. You don't NEED a 12" woofer and going just on the woofer size alone isn't a good idea either. I agree though, a single better sub could be better here as long as it's placed correctly.

I'd highly recommend the jbl studio 5 series highly over these… they go on sale all the time!

I have both the RSL Speedwoofer 10s and SVS PB1000 (non-Pro) in my 31.5 x 17 foot living area and I agree completely. Yes, they won't reach the deep range of a well engineered 12 inch sub but these subs definitely fill the room and hit hard. That said, I do think he was right in that the Klipsch SPL-100s are definitely not among the better 10s.

Nothing wrong with two 10" subs
From the right manufacturer, I would agree (ie RSL, SVS). Not Klipsch though.

A lot of it has to do with which 10 inch sub we are talking about. The SPL-100s are mismatched with this setup given what comes with the set. Personally I would love to see this for a few hundred less and skip the subs.

I bought this same deal two years ago and have been extremely happy with it. That being said, this deal was $200 cheaper 2 years ago and came with the RP-402S rear speakers an 12" REL Sub, AND a Yamaha Aventage Receiver on SD....just an FYI to those considering this. I have since added Atmos speakers and have been extremely satisfied to say the least. I guess the "great resignation" has led us to this price and configuration.

Definitely a much better deal given that you got a quality sub and I would trust a Yamaha amp before Onkyo in terms of longevity.

I can't believe this is still available. This seems like an amazing deal. I was just looking for some atmos speakers and maybe a better center channel to improve my circa-2016 Klipsch 5.1 setup. Once I realized I would need a new receiver, it didn't make sense to not go ahead and buy this package. Not sure what I will do with my existing speakers... placed strategically in the living room for playing general music I guess. Or I suppose I could use some of them as more Atmos speakers or to expand to a 7 or 9 speaker setup... but I don't know if I like to contaminate my nice new reference premiere setup with my plain old reference speakers. I recall hearing it is better to stick with the same brand for all the speakers. I'm guessing that also applies to the same line from the same brand.

I ordered the package and see the receiver is backordered. I plan to buy another receiver locally from a store with a good return policy and take it back when the Onkyo comes in.

EDIT -
Just realized the Onkyo does not support 4k@120hz. I want this for next gen gaming. They already shipped the speakers. I might try cancelling the receiver (if they let me) or maybe I can just resell it when it comes in. I know I can just route the xbox direct to my TV and have just the sound go out to the receiver to get around the video limitation, which is what I'm doing now, but I didn't figure I'd still have to do that with a brand new receiver Mad

I just need the RP-504C. I've been looking all around and can't find it at a discount.
I have an extra (I already had one off amazon and I then bought this bundle). Walnut, new in box, unopened. Hit me up.

I bought the bundle a month ago, and received an email stating i can cancel the receiver, which i have done as it was always intended as a placeholder only, and I don't believe it will be in stock or available any time soon. I got lucky and picked up a denon x3700 for a steal from a local "Video Only", last one they had!!!
