That is required for having a slim laptop with limited thermal headroom. I am not sure why the hell are you even considering this for high gaming performance requirements. You know, the XPS 15 does not even come with a RTX 3060 and the RTX 3050 Ti in it, is a 45W variant. These Laptops are not for your typical gaming requirement where they target maximum graphics performance without caring much about portability and thermals.
It is really funny when I see these comments on a Productivity oriented machines, bashing them for not having the highest gaming performance. Get a gaming laptop.

Not really great for gaming. This is mainly targeted towards content creators and productivity works. You'll get far better gaming laptops with full power RTX 3060, higher refresh and fast response time screen at this price. The display on this not only 60 Hz bit has very slow response time and you'll be seeing lot of ghosting.

This deal price matches the previous FP deal on this laptop with only 16GB Ram. This costs same but comes with twice the memory.

I wish they made this in 500 nit. Though I guess that would have taken from XPS15 sales. If you can deal with 300 nits, killer deal.

Good one! Though there's a typo, not 4gb but 6gb 3060. Hope dell won't exclude this PC from save12 code soon.

That's likely due to your firewall. My router firewall gives me that error a lot on links here. If you trust the link, you can go off of the wifi and onto your cellular network to connect, then save the site url. Of course if you have unlimited data, you can just do it, but that's a workaround if you don't.
