How does this one compare to xps with the same spec? Xps would cost $1000 more.

The 60W on the GPU is a total killer.

If it was a full power version I would be violently adding this thing into the cart and checking out as fast as possible, but this is useless to me.

That is required for having a slim laptop with limited thermal headroom. I am not sure why the hell are you even considering this for high gaming performance requirements. You know, the XPS 15 does not even come with a RTX 3060 and the RTX 3050 Ti in it, is a 45W variant. These Laptops are not for your typical gaming requirement where they target maximum graphics performance without caring much about portability and thermals.
It is really funny when I see these comments on a Productivity oriented machines, bashing them for not having the highest gaming performance. Get a gaming laptop.

It's perfect. Better battery life and can handle more games than a igpu. It's really a jack of all trades and master of none laptop. I have been waiting for something like this for a while.

Looks matte to me. Check out the display section of the review. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Alm...819.0.html

It's matte. It's a fairly effective combination inside given the 300 nits max brightness inside.

Outside you won't be happy but I wonder how everyone got it done in the old days before..

Looking to upgrade my 2015 MacBook pro. How does the screen compare? I assume this is worse, but would it feel like a huge step down?

Compare vs. the notebook check review of the Inspiron 16 posted earlier in the thread with the 2015: https://www.notebookcheck.net/App...402.0.html

Glossy screen are always going to give you that "pop" and sharpness, which I like. For working, I like matte though. I will note though that brightness and glossy always helps people "prefer" a screen initially. For instance, the black level and contrast of the 2015 Macbook isn't great, but you don't hear about it that much. I do always look at black levels when watching movies though.
