Perhaps this model is more durable, but I picked up a cheaper Coleman ($132 on Amazon currently) which I've been very happy with. It's a similar size (larger footprint but slanted walls) and is also extremely easy to setup/teardown in a few minutes:

The only other benefit I can think of for this one might be a bit more coverage for rain, but reviews lead me to believe it's not much better at that.

EDIT: This one is a good bit taller with a 8.4ft center height vs 7ft center height on the one I have, so it probably feels quite a bit roomier (even if you aren't freakishly tall)

I've got the smaller one mentioned. Super easy to set up but offers little shade unfortunately.

Would this be decent for a garden in AZ. So much sun and heat kills everything. Plants get a little sun morning and afternoons but direct hot scorching heat mid day will be avoided in peak day times.


Thoughts?????

It might serve you well for a year (possibly two) but these aren't intended to withstand that kind of UV exposure on a daily basis – even "heavy duty" tarps can start to fall apart after a full summer or two in the sun.

I have 2 of those heavy duty Tarps that sell for $20 at Costco. They have been used to provide shade at my carport for the last 5 years and still in good shape. Here in sunny Cali, we may get about 3 weeks of 90 deg weather a year. So AZ may be tougher.

I have had both this tent (which is a licensed design made by several manufacturers) and the screen house mentioned in the comments. This tent is intended to be an instant pop up tent and is fast to set up. That being said, the other one is pretty quick and easy too, just not as fast. The instant tent is much more sturdy, but has less airflow as more of the roof is covered...good for rain, bad for airflow. Due to the slanted nature of the other tents walls and smaller roof in the comments, there is a lot of airflow. The listed tent doesn't have any flaps or extra material at the bottom to create a better seal/barrier for bug entry. It just depends on what your use case is. The listed tent is a durable, fast setup tent with plenty of space. The tent in the Comments has much better airflow but is more flimsy, takes a minute or two longer to setup, and is smaller/has less rain coverage.
