Just tried from my iPhone 12. I made sure I was logged into my MS account through Safari…zero issues.

it's time to move off of Windows altogether. Windows 11 is ridiculous. O365 is horribly designed. Teams is a clunky, non-intuitive, resource hog. Everything of theirs is going or has gone to the subscription/recurring revenue model. Greed has surpassed innovation as M$'s driving force. Just like every other corporation that has matured into a monopoly or oligopoly., the quality of their products has suffered tremendously whilst they look for more ways to nickel and dime.

Ubuntu Linux will be replacing all my desktops and laptops. The Ubuntu palette of compatible, robust, and feature-rich desktop UIs is plentiful.

LOL you Linux fanboys have been saying this same thing for 10 years now. Nothing has changed.

I don't know who else you've been talking to but maybe you need to hang with a more knowledgeable crowd.

Oh, I get it. You don't even know Linux? Is that it? You feel inept? Well it's one of those things. Either you've got the cognitive ability to be a teency bit technical or the command line makes you run as fast as you can. Do you also fly a drone and call yourself a pilot? Just curious. Are you able to edit using vi? Nah. Shell script much?

OK, I'm an office 365 subscriber. I click on the link, it goes to MS web page. I check that I am logged in with the same account my subscription uses. Then I click on the starbucks link below, it opens a starbucks page. I click on reqards, and it shows ~125 stars; the 150 stars are obviously not added. What step am I missing?

I just do a free trial for about five minutes in order to take advantage of stuff like this. It's easy to cancel.

But yeah, subscribing is a bit crazy when you can buy an actual copy from 2019 for $40 that never expires. Just buy a new version every 10 years.

Good luck with that. Pretty hard to "move on" from Microsoft when almost all businesses still use it. I guess if you are hermit with no ties to the outside world then Ubuntu is a great alternative.

That's a but ironic since it sounds more like you are the hermit who is living in the Microsoft garden. Use of Linux has exploded over the last 20 years. Before that there was UNIX. It's a proven operating system. UNIX is the commercial predecessor. Sun's version was Solaris (now owned by Oracle), IBM's is AIX, Digital Equipment Corporation's (DEC) version was Ultrix, Data General's DG-UX. The list is long. Linux is open source and has an extremely low cost of implementation. What do you think is running the vast majority of business commerce servers in the planet? What do you think that vast majority of computers in Silicon Valley are running? What do you think the cloud (AWS & Google) run on? Linux, my friend. It's all over the DoD as well. Ignorance, smh.

I don't need luck. I've been running two Linux server in my house for well over 15 years, doing everything from running email servers to streaming music through my house to serving up movies on my TV by running Plex, and a vast array of many other tasks. It's been turning my lights on and off long before Alexa was born. Maybe if you educated yourself in the way of information technology you'd understand you ridiculous your statement is. Best of you luck you, my friend! Recommendation: Find Network Chuck on YouTube and pay attention.

Linux is nice for server but Linux desktop is not as good as Windows when it comes to business apps and productivity. MS365 $99/yr for 6 users is a steal. That comes out less than $2 a month for office across 5 devices and 1Tb storage for each user. Drop Box, Google Drive, Amazon, iCloud all charge a lot more just for cloud storage alone. Until Microsoft ports Office to Linux, Windows and Office ecosystem will continue to rule.

A) Microsoft Quality has steadily gone down hill. Case in point: Teams, which absolutely sucks but which I have to use for both work and the search and rescue organisation I fly for. I have no interest in supporting the oligopoly mindset of not having to put of a high quality product.

B) I don't do subscription models. It's a great revenue model for the company and a horrible one for the customer. I chose to not participate. If I buy it I should own it. And yes, I do without Netflix too )It's why I run Plex).

C) Don't knock it til you've tried it. UIs on Ubuntu have grown up over the last few years and they kick ***. Kiss my ***, Microsoft. (Though I love the stock--mainly because of the revenue model).

If you have a 365 Family subscription, everyone in your household with their own Microsoft account is also able to apply the deal Wink
