Nice deal but still way too expensive for a keyboard. I would purchase if this has any other additional function. I do have many apple products and accessories but this is one of those things that I can't seem to come up with reason to buy...

It's a first-party keyboard, case, and trackpad. They're priced at $299. Also if the iPad has AppleCare+ coverage, it will cover this keyboard as well automatically so that's a plus. Love mine and I paid full price. This is definitely a great price!

It's one of those things you won't "get it" until you use it.

It's honestly one of the best keyboards I've ever used, better than any other first-party or third-party Mac keyboards I've used in recent memory. I don't know what they were on when they built it, but it's unreal — excellent and firm keypresses, without being noisy or flexing. The trackpad is also good, but small. It blows anything on the PC side out of the water, and the closest that I've seen is probably the first-gen Magic Touchpad, which had actual tactile buttons built into the bottom of the anti-slip pads.

I wish I could get this for my Mac, really. I dislike how mushy the (now one-gen old) Magic Keyboard is. The tragedy is iPadOS. If they could get that up to par (for example video conferencing) and could convince app makers to put out serious software on it ... the combination of iPad + this keyboard would work.

It does suck as a case though. I agonized between this and the Logitech Touch Combo, where you can rip off the keyboard, but it's hard to match the keyboard and touchpad's quality.

Apple does a good job of getting suckers to pay for this
When someone makes a good product, it's not hard. It's a great keyboard and trackpad, durable enough, and you can charge with usbc directly to the case amwhile keeping the iPads usb c port free for anything else.

It also is small enough to fit on an airplane tray table

I'm sorry you're missing out in it

They do a better job of bringing out people's pettiness and jealousy.

That's harsh. Some people are willing to pay more for items. To you, a Mercedes might be for suckers but for owners, they enjoy the vehicle and would be satisfied with nothing less. Comments like this one are unwarranted.

I don't disagree that it does seem expensive but, different strokes. I don't think I can bring myself to buy the 12.9 5th gen for 399 but maybe when it gets to 150-199 on sale. It's a boon for iPad Pro power users who want that keyboard and trackpad and is streamlined in the perfect way because it provides the power input and is also a tidy case for the device. Many could use their iPad Pro as a Notebook replacement. If I were in that camp, I'd get it too but as it is I'd just be getting it for novelty and while I'm comfortable income-wise, it's not that disposable to me Smilie

Makes the iPad much more usable as a laptop replacement. I sold my MacBook for an iPad Pro and this keyboard. I wouldn't say it's a true replacement for power users and I definitely miss a real computer at times but 95% of the time I can get by with this keyboard and mouse. Also don't need to worry about charging this separately like some of the other options (which could be a con since it uses iPad battery) For $199, I think it's definitely worth it.

I do not know what leads you to conclude "better than any other first-party or third-party Mac keyboards I've used in recent memory" -- I have used many keyboards (including this one), and I am pretty sure that there are plenty of computer keyboards that provides a better typing experience, especially if you look at those that cost >$100.
