Well, I don't live in a deal-dense area either, so I can sympathize with your plight , but your suggestion would make this site only able to post amazon or wal-mart specials. That would really suck. I think its useful to know what is possible, and I do like to know what is going on at Microcenter if I was willing to drive several hundred miles.
BTW, this particular deal was actually listed on brickseek in my region so it is actually repeatable.

Brickseek and in-store associate confirmed minimum quantity of 14 in stock at specific store but after searching for 30 minutes, no one could find them. Suspect some shadiness like employees hiding them.

I have a pair, the locking mechanism is pretty bad. I probably will put it on local classified for cheap since I got it long time ago :-(

They are $35 near me. Even at that price, you won't find a better saw horse for the money, especially one with adjustable legs. Edited to add that a buddy of mine is a contractor and has this set. He uses them at every job and are still holding up after a few years of use.

WTF - this site was built around the YMMV posts! Just because you can't find the deals doesn't mean only 1 guy found it.
ALL of the stores in my area have stock and the prices vary from $35, $28 down to the $21.
Go troll somewhere else.

Doubt it. More likely it's lost inventory.

I bought a cast iron tub from HD. Perfect condition under the dust, found original special order tag on it. Tub sat in the store for over 3yrs before someone found it, then it was put on clearance.

Most likely these saw horses are sitting in the top rack in the wrong dept.

Sounds like whoever stocked them ran out of space in their planned aisle and put them high up in the rafters in some random location. At least this has happened to me a couple of times at lowe's when they were finally 'discovered'
