The yeti is a condenser microphone
It is more sensitive and picks up more sound than dynamic mics do (the mic here is dynamic). This might make the audio sound more airy, even tinny or shrill depending on the mic and placement.
I'm not sure what his vocal style is but he should make sure to be about 12" away from the mic and use a pop filter with the yeti.
With dynamics you get a little more bass as you get closer to the mic (proximity effect). I like them for vocals. It's easier to get a usable sound whereas condensers require a little more messing around.
That being said. It's nice to have both types to have more options.
