Please be aware that Dell cut corners to hit this price point. The stock CPU cooler will cause the i7-11700 to thermal throttle. The PSU is proprietary and will be cumbersome to upgrade.

8 more gb of ram and a better processor for 200 more bucks than the i5. I'd rather have the i5 and get a 16gb kit, and upgrade the cpu cooler and call it a day.

It's true. I have an old optiplex and I couldn't cleanly install a new PSU without damaging the chassis or the PSU itself. It was a total pain

No. It's too expensive to upgrade the gpu right now. If you mean buy it and upgrade down the line.. maybe… but personally, I'd just wait for the $650 i5 again. It's more than suitable for a gaming pc.
