I'd suggest waiting for Legion 5 Pro deal.
Had a slim Asus Zephyrus a year ago.. My advice, do not get anything "slim" for gaming! Internals need room for cooling otherwise you will see temperatures above 90°C all the time. Keyboard gets extremely hot to the touch. Fans are spinning at full speed trying to keep up and its so loud that you need a pair of headphones.

100 watts on the 3060 isn't bad. My G14 2021 has 60w on its own 3060 that can occasionally boost up to 80w. I just benchmarked Borderlands 3 last night and my G14 got 70 FPS on Ultra setting. So this Lenovo would be able to improve on that, esp. in GPU-heavy games. 4.2 lbs so it's very similar in size to a G15. $1254 for a certified open box model to be shipped to you, too. Seems like a solid deal.

It's been as low as $1235(before cashback offers) on Lenovo's site with a 1tb HD. If you need one right now, I guess this would be a good choice.

I have one of these and the cooling is very good. GPU stays under 75c, have seen CPU hit 90c a couple of times but is usually 80-85c. Keyboard does not get hot at all, although above the keyboard there are vent holes that get warm, but you never touch there. Build quality is top shelf, it actually surprised me a lot, I was expecting much worse. Overall good laptop, only thing that's been disappointing is the battery life.

That is the only reason I canceled my order for this one. I don't game, but wanted something fast with a great screen and 8 to 12 hour batter life. I ended up getting the $999 Ideapad 5 pro 16(16gb, 5800, GTx1650). I couldn't be happier with it. I easily get 5 hours with 50% left. My only minor complaints, speakers are weak and no extra m.2 hard drive slot.

As for the Slim 7 not being a gaming lappy, LOL , 16gb is enough ram for any game out now and the near future. You will probably need a better video card before you need more ram. But Yes, Ram should always be upgradeable Frown

From specs: "One memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM slot, dual-channel capable"
