How much better is this than my fenix 3HR?
I do want the advance sleep metrics.

Got the same exact deals you posted. The ss band from BB color matches well. No sales tax really made the deal for me from CA.

I got this last year. Awesome watch! There is a learning curve, but overall a great watch. You can Bluetooth straight to your headphones and download music onto the watch. No need for carrying cellphone when exercising or doing yardwork

Got it for 300 a year ago from Google shopping haha. It's amazing for sports but not for smart functions with Apple devices
That's my conundrum…I don't want to give up most of my Apple functions, so I'm amazed Apple hasn't just created a beefier, more sports-focused watch. I'm not a fanboy, but it seems like they could just emulate Garmin pretty easily and create a whole sports line.

I think their fashion/upscale vanity is getting in the way.

If you think onboard music is a plus, then that alone makes it a better model. The sleep tracking is just okay so take it with a grain of salt. I thought the AmazFit's sleep tracking was way more accurate but the Fenix tracking is usable. I just like knowing how long I slept and at least I get a quick number. The graphics are a little better too...

Titanium seems worth it if you have to pay sales tax, or if you can get the 20 off coupon to work.

I also picked up this nylon band for $5 after a random $10 off promotion. Amazon offered the coupon.

Abanen Hook and Loop Quick Dry Watch Band

It's velcro so I wouldn't wear it swimming in a lake or anything like that. The fit is very good, but my friend lost a watch while wearing a similar band...he jumped in a lake and it came off, so I'll use caution.

I wore it last night while I slept and it was comfortable.

Changing the bands is super easy on this watch. Takes seconds.

Amazon is only offering me 15% off for the green version. If I can get it $10 off, I will prob pick up that one too.

Agreed, I'd drop my Garmin in a second if they just released a watch that could track my activity/GPS for longer than a few hours without needing to recharge!

Garmin has an entire ecosystem of sensors, accessories used by many of their core customers, in a wide range of activities, provides excellent service and support. While Apple may be able to pick off some of the more casual Garmin users by offering more sports-focused watches, they appear to have made the decision that they would not gain enough market share to justify the investment.

https://www.statista.com/statisti...-by-vendor provides some interesting perspectives, suggests Garmin has not cracked the top 5 of the wearable market since 2018 - and Fitbit fell out of the top 5 in 2020, combination of Apple and Samsung appear to control at least 40% of the worldwide market since 2019.

That's because the Garmin line are fitness devices with some smart features, the rest are smart devices with some fitness features.
