I was at Costco yesterday and saw the 9'6" Expedition Paddleboard was on clearance for $199.97. The regular price is $299.99 in-store and $399.99 online. I bought it in-store at the end of May for $300.

Yeah my store sold out in May, but got them back in stock about a month ago.

It's good stuff, like a kayak with more comfortable posture (standing) and a better view both towards the horizon and down into the water. You can also surf small to medium waves on them (probably just little ones with this one).

Pretty much the same point as any outdoor activity...gets you out of the house and enjoying nature.

If you can't see the appeal of gliding on water standing up, feel free to crawl back to your couch and Netflix. This is probably not for you.

It's not that simple. I enjoy canoeing and kayaking but I don't understand the attraction of paddle boarding. Maybe I'm being illogical.

It challenges your balance. If thats not comfortable for you then better to stay in your canoe or couch.
