Amazon.com has the
Philips H9505 [amazon.com] headphones on sale for $148 once again, same deal as the last time, now that I own it, I feel like this the best performing ANC headphones in this price range
it was $249 previously, this is now over 40% off
it has Active Noise Canceling (ANC) with Hybrid type (mic both in and outside of the earcups) and has app control, hybrid ANC, touch controls, google assistant and alexa, 28 hours, line-in, hi-res audio, and decent sound quality

These are definitely a lot better than my Anker Q30 but still a notch below the Sony WH-1000MX4
for $148, they are actually good value
Here is my take:
- decent sound quality, better than Anker Q30, comparable to WH-1000MX3 and MX4
- pretty good ANC performance, better than Anker Q30, slightly different range tuned out compared to 1000MX3
- okay app controls, enough for what it does
- has 2 levels of ANC (low and high), as well as adaptive ANC
- takes a while to remember what the touch controls are but most are intuitive
- has line-in
- 28 hours is plenty of battery life (28 with ANC on too)
- charges pretty darn fast
- flat fold, no inward folding but this means the carrying case is slimmer, easier to store in backpacks
- couldn't get NFC pairing to work with my phone, could be just me
- dual device pairing works pretty nifty, used it without any problems, definitely a must-have these days
- Excellent fit and finish, Sony quality, miles ahead of Anker's Q30 and Q35

heres my ranking based on my experience of collecting headphones:
Sony 1000MX4 > Philips H9505 > Sony 1000MX3 (no good dual connect) > Bose Q35ii > Anker Q35 > Anker Q30
