Yep! very easy to put together (youtube tutorials are great). Works out of the box with minor adjustments (leveling the bed, but super easy). I'm printing a bunch of "upgrades" as we speak.
Where can I print upgrades from?

BL/CR touch for bed leveling. Glass bed if you start having problems with the filament sticking (or you can always use glue sticks). You can buy a kit on Amazon that had some Capricorn Bowden tubing, metal extruder arm and upgraded bed springs.
I installed that BL touch package with the tubing and springs. The BL touch has made a huge difference for me.
One thing to note... I found the installation to be pretty difficult. The instructions are trash, so I ended up following YouTube tutorials which got me through it.

When you finish what the previous posters suggested (I'd start with the bed and Capricorn upgrade) give Octoprint running on a Rasberry Pi a shot. It's software that acts as a middleman between your computer and printer making the experience smoother.
Octoprint plus a pi camera plus a cheap kasa smart plug is a huge upgrade. I turn on my printer from my office, monitor prints, and have it auto shutoff on completion.

THIS! Above all other upgrades, this makes using the printer a much more pleasant experience. Not saying the other upgrades aren't valid but octoprint on pi is by far my favorite upgrade. I've had mine for a year and while I have the glass bed and silent board, they are still boxed up, haven't really needed them. Have probably gone thru 10 spools this past year.

So for someone with zero experience in 3d printers... is this a reasonable starter/learning printer?

Any suggestions on website tutorials? Is there free software to download/modify/create models?

Sorry for all of the questions.... been on the fence if this is something I want to play around with.

What's "useful" varies significantly from person to person. I've printed storage containers, toys, face shields, decorations, hardware, RPi cases, costume props...

This is an awesome deal, but not good enough to get me to drive to Houston.
I live on the north side of Houston and I don't even want to drive to it for this. But it is a really good deal.

I initially started with printer upgrades, some are cosmetic, but also storage drawers, clips for storing used filament spools, etc. Have also printed a LOT of seasonal decorations for my better half. For myself, laptop stand, adapters for the pool, propane stand... And then there are those mandalorian figures on thingiverse.

Thanks for the tip. I will order one now. Any other hardware recommendations?
Check your pro first. It should have a 4.2.2, which is a silent board, though its possible it has the garbage noisy stepper drivers if it was a very old production.
