But you can't use your pressure cooker as a pressure cooker when you're using it as an air fryer. I've been looking into getting one but don't know how to flip stuff inside easily when it beeps to flip as it opens from the top rather than a tray you pull out

I own this. What I do is remove the lid (it has a plastic tray it sits on). Then I use a pot holder to grasp the side of the air fryer basket insert. I then toss the food inside the basket a few times. If I'm doing something more delicate, I might use tongs. I actually found that I prefer to toss the food a few times to keep french fries and chicken nuggets from sticking to each other.
Most things take 18 to 20 minutes to get crispy. It's quicker to bake, except for the preheat time for the oven. The finished product for things like tater tots and french fries are typically worth the wait. Unfortunately, there isn't much space-savings with the lid compared to having a dedicated appliance.
Still a good thing to have and not bad at $50....they were $75.
Yes, it uses the same stainless steel liner (not the nonstick liner) and just sits on top. You don't use liquid with air frying though. I usually use the air fryer lid for completely different foods than in the IP, but I have made food in the IP then switched to air fryer lid to finish, such as melt cheese on spaghetti or crisp up ribs or chicken.

I use either the basket and take out and shake food periodically, or I use trivets that I can flip food on easier and skip the basket altogether.
Buy this plus instant pot or buy the cheap insignia air fryer and insignia 6qt pressure cooker for $25 each?
I have the insignia pressure cooker and based on what instant pot recipes say for timings, the insignia always takes a lot more time and the buttons don't really match up well. We're waiting for an instant pot deal to pop up and then ditching the insignia. For example, for rice a recipe might say cook on high pressure for 5 minutes then quick release the steam for an instant pot, on my insignia it'll take 15 minutes plus the extended time it takes to build pressure.
We bought this and it's ok. We are actually returning it because we'd like a bigger size. For small items, it is probably worth your while but we cook slightly bigger things and appreciate larger space.
I have this. Works really well. The included basket does start to peel but I often just use a regular trivet at the bottom of the pot. Downside is it's quite small since it is just the inside of the pot. Pro is that it's easy to clean since you can take out the whole pot and throw it in the dishwasher. I think this is easily overlooked as a typical air fryer seems more like a toaster oven in terms of ease of cleaning.

It's actually fairly convenient because we leave our Instapot on the stovetop because it gets used very often. So we can switch to an air fryer without having a separate appliance.
