That's normal price and it's not a deal at that price for sure. I have owned mine since Father's Day. We got it for $250. Still not a deal at that price. I play my XBox X-Series much more than the Oculus. I'm also disappointed in most of the Oculus games I've purchased. The technology is there, but facebook's execution is poor. They made a new and exciting product seem old and boring with mediocre games and a boring lineup of pre-installed apps/games.

For me, I tried out a friend's quest 2 for the first time a month or so ago, and it blew me away, but then FB/Oculus pulled it from the market for a while, so I couldn't even buy it for MSRP until the wee hours this morning.
The base $300 model now comes with twice the storage (128gb vs 64gb).
I bought it direct from Oculus using Discover via PayPal for 5% back on the $300, with free shipping.

Bought one from Amazon a couple months ago when deals dropped price to $220 with Discover $40 cash back + Deal of the Day. Was to be a Christmas gift but after seeing the new version coming with twice the storage for same base price, was able to sell the original 64GB local for $300 instantly on facebook marketplace. None could be found for the past month. I'm guessing this first batch of the new version will sell out within days.

So here's the deal. They are just now being re-released after being taken off the shelf earlier this year after multiple reports of skin rashes and product issues. Early 2021 they sold the 64 gb and 128gb models.

These are the the 128 and 256gb models and supposedly have some reworking to fix the issues from earlier.

You'll see these posted on slick deals just because people have alerts set up to notify them where they are available and in stock. Does Slick deals have that feature yet, something like a in-stock section for stuff at MSRP but people are waiting for availability.

Yes this is the same price as previous 64GB model. This post is for the post recall release version with 128GB.

As others have stated, all models have been OOS due to the recall and this is their first availability.

Amazon is same price as BB. Newegg etc but has fastest shipping if you have prime. In for one and i'll have it Thursday.

Pretty sure this is the initial availability of the 128 GB model. There has been a 256 GB model, which should continue to be sold with revision to address the recall issue.

I thought gigabot was implying that if someone has owned a Quest 2 since Father's Day and paid $250, they likely have the 64 GB model - they don't have this one.

256 GB for $400.

Some say even 64 GB is enough - most games are small and easy enough to re-download if you want to replay them later.

Others say more games are getting bigger, and if you're a digital packrat (or have a low data cap) I'm sure you can never have enough storage.
