Anyone that owns this (28") chime in? Concerned about the reviews that say it has a rough surface. 169 near me fwiw.
I own it and love it!
It comes pre-seasoned with an oil on it, which is what I believe the reviewers are referring to when they talk about a rough surface. Before I used it the first time, I seasoned it with more oil and let the oil burn off. Then I scraped it smooth and it has stayed that way since, for the last 4 months.
I also like that it has the lid, which helps the griddle stay clean and get up to temperature fast and stay hot. I cook on mine at least twice a week and have never noticed any issues with the griddle. Steaks, burgers, and eggs/bacon alI taste amazing.
Everything has a use, I have a weber summit, a cheap pellet grill and and a 36" Blackstone griddle. If you have to decide between the three I would recommend a pellet grill. If you can get them all I use each of them multiple times a week.
Just ordered one of the Expert Griddles for $144 online for store pick up. Online said they had 4 left. I'll keep an eye out for another price drop but thought it was a pretty good deal even at the $144 price.

I bought mine for $200 and don't regret it.
