Consider the $20 newer soon to be release (in September) JLab Go Air Pop that has a single playback of 8+ hours, and an additional 24+ extra hours with the charging case.

https://www.jlab.com/products/go-...ss-earbuds

I normally would just pick up some inexpensive ones down at Ross or Tjnaxx but most of those only have 3-4 hours of single playback time.

I've had problems with those cheap ones. A week or so ago I picked up some JBL earbuds in the clearance section of Marshall's for $10 and they were horrible - wouldn't stay connected and the sound was tinny. Also, not really comfortable in the ear.

The ones I us most of the time are Samsung Live, but I like to give the cheaper ones a try sometimes, but it is often wasted money.

Are these the Samsung Live?

Any particular reason why they're your go to wireless earbuds? If so, a bit over my budget for gym use though but still interested in their pros and cons. Looks like the Live ($100 plus/minus) also has an 8 hour playback time like the JLab Go Pop ($20 preorder).

I'm personally leaning towards the JLab Go Pop (however, their representative also said their other models will also be getting a refresher this year, so I may or may not wait for those models or just jump on the Go Pop). I'm currently using one of their anc headphones that has been working well with a single payback time of 30+ hours.

The Lives are like the open back design of true wireless buds. Meaning sounds will leak in from outside. Trade off is that since it's not shoved into your ear, your ear hole won't get agitated/irritated. Main reason why I like it is the design really, it doesn't stick out making you look like Frankenstein.

Sound quality is so so. People will praise about it but I don't hear anything different. I don't use the mic so can't comment on that.

These don't appear to have active noise canceling. That's what I'm looking for— are there any good deal on those?

ANC on truly wireless aren't really available until you're into more the $100 range: The Anker liberty pros, the Nothing Ear (1)'s, etc. With the lesser known brands, you risk being stuck with hum or buzz when ANC is on.

I think if you watch the sales, you can get the Samsung live around $60 - $70. I was lucky and found my first pair on Amazon Warehouse for $29.95. They were missing the tips and box was a little beat up, but work fine. I purchased a second set on eBay for $59.99.

I've tried tons of earbuds and these just fit me the best. I use the tips to make a more snug fit and never had one fall out. I really forget they are in my ears sometimes. The sound quality is decent, but for me listening mostly to audiobooks and podcasts, sound quality is not as much an issue.

I keep one set charged while using another during the day and alternate the two sets. I don't know how many total hours you can get with them, but I have used them plus or minus 8 hours before swapping them out the next day for the other set.

Finally, these pair up (no matter which set I am using) as soon as I open their charging case and I am ready to go. I've had some that are a nuisance when they have to be paired all the time.
