Walmart used to own Vudu so a lot of movies/tv shows came with a code on the receipt that would give you an instawatch version to be redeemed or automatically redeemed if your vudu/walmart accounts were linked together. It varied on the studio and titles for this to work.
I do not believe this works anymore since walmart sold Vudu to Fandango. But the show is routinely on sale on Vudu. And tv shows do not work with movies anywhere.
Has anyone ever seen a version with the digital code included?
Not anymore, like 8 years ago walmart had them and I got the first two seasons that way and they had a sticker on them with a code. Then Vudu put the seasons on sale for $5 bucks years ago and I bought a couple more. Wish they'd do a sale again because not about to spend full price to complete it but I also couldn't make it through season 2 and got bored so maybe its for the best. Think I'm just missing the last two seasons on there.

It worked for me. I had to return the dvds and buy them again. Then I had to scan them in the Walmart app. Then I had to link the Walmart app with my vudu account
It won't say you got the digital copy but checked my account two days later because I still wanted the digital version and was going to buy them and it showed I owed them.

Something I saw on a past thread said you can get digital by scanning your Walmart receipt. Not sure if still accurate?
Saw that. But no confirmation

No but I immediately opened Handbrake upon receiving this item last year. Episode order on the DVDs is a little wonky in places.

It would be way harder for me to forget it than to remember it
