Whirlpool All Stainless Steel and Nickel Self Cleaning Bottom-Load Water Dispenser Water Cooler - on clearance at Walmart.com. It looks like all of the Whirlpool water dispensers (coolers) are on clearance. They have like 5 more that are around the same price that are different designs/styles. I ordered this one, so I will find out if it is worth it, but it has decent reviews.

This one doesn't require you to have a water line, which is ideal if you want water in an area without a line.

Because a water hookup isn't always possible. In my instance: our office in a building my company rents isn't near the bathrooms and getting a plumber to run a line isn't worth the cost and headache of getting permission from the landlord, getting permits, etc.

there are counter top ice maker/ water dispenser but they tend to be quite pricey. i came across some when looking for a counter top ice maker. neat idea but it might not be cost effective.

Why would someone buy this type of water dispenser if a bottle-less one online is just a few bucks more?

With a bottle-less dispenser I don't have to carry a huge water bottle.

I'm asking because I'm considering a bottle-less dispenser.

Oh wow seems to be a great deal. Bought a similar bottom-feeder self cleaning dispenser at Costco for $220+tax and it's all plastic.

I had this for about 4 years and it was awesome. Coldest water dispenser I've ever used and the hot water comes out hot enough for tea. I ended up selling it for $85 after I put in a reverse osmosis system but I miss the cold water since now I have to use ice because the fridge does not dispense the water as cold.
