When did Seasonic start making cases?

I looked at their webpage, seems like instead of the motherboard, CPU etc connecting directly to the PSU, they're all going through this Connect hub. I don't really like that idea, you're introducing another failure point for each component.

Clever idea but I think I'll stick with the conventional.

Thanks OP! Case with type C top panel and PSU is a bonus. I'll return my BQ 500DX for this.

Holy crap - so you're essentially getting the case for free. Biggest qualm regarding the case is that your motherboard would be upside down when installed in the case.

Seems like everyone makes a case now. Looking forward to the Dyson mid tower case.

That would probably be a very clean looking case

After looking at how one of those Dyson fans work, I actually thought about this. The interior of a "trash can" mac pro should pretty much drop right into the base of one of those fans (basically a cylindrical void surrounded by a filtered intake with a strong fan at the top). I have no idea what the point would be though.

Thermal and cable management would likely be excellent. I'd buy this case.

It was 9 months ago when Youtube recommended I watch Linus Tech Tips review on this case. The thought of mounting my nice looking Asrock motherboard upside down is simply dumb. The whole power hub thing is also overengineered - I have a decent amount of stuff hooked up, and with good cable management, my build without the use of this Seasonic hub looks very good.

Purchased 6 so I can have all of my kids/cousins LAN party rigs match. Can't beat these prices and the quality of seasonic is above most psu manufacturers.

The fans alone in this case are worth $100. Seasonic is top quality stuff. These must not be selling too well because this is almost certainly being sold at cost.

Yeah, I'm a big Seasonic fan but it smacks of packaging - selling cases and power supplies as a unit. I don't like having more connections and wiring than necessary, and this seems like a poor idea, but it sure looks high quality so maybe give them a generation to get it perfect. I like to see people trying to innovate in this space.

dang even though this case is a little odd it includes Nidec Fans which if they are just black gentle typhoons is almost 100 bucks in fans alone
