Is this strong enough to power a fridge during a power outage? Or should I buy. Larger generator?

Depend on the fridge but it should run a traditional fridge like the top freezer type. Look at the tag that shows the volts and amps it needs and multiply by 3 the amps.

So if it says 4 amps then that is 12 amps which should be good for this fridge. But this really depends on the surge when the fridge starts.

Mine claims it's 6.5 but i monitored it and it never used more than 4amps

Haven't seen any deals on small dual fuel ones. I use my generator so infrequently that I want to only run propane.

I keep two 5 gallon cans of Rec90 fuel for mine with Stabil in it. If I don't use them in a year they get dumped into my truck and refilled. My WEN has an "off" feature that runs the carb out of gas when you shut it off.

Just an option...

EDIT: Hopefully these have a better reputation than the Generac whole house generators!

WEN has some better deals. [wenproducts.com]
