I wonder if I should save 200 bucks over the Lenovo Legion I have with a 5800H and 1tb SSD instead.

No, don't do that. Legion 5 Pro is superior to this in every aspect and that $200 is well worth to have that. It has a better display by a huge margin, 5800H with far higher TDP pushed to it when needed, 140W RTX 3060 and a MUX Switch. Also, the cooling solution is superior in Legion 5 pro

Legion 5 pro would be more than $200 extra, I assume we're talking about a regular legion 5 here

If you're talking about the glitch deal back at the end of July I would definitely keep that one for the price as long as they fulfill the orders I'm waiting on one also they keep changing ship date

This laptop has a serious heating up problem... mostly due to gpu... so much so that many a times you can't use mouse touch pad.

Legion 5 is significantly better, this Omen has less wattage, CPU only runs at 35 watts! No mux, and display only has 40-60hz freesync range

Mine hasn't had this issue... and I've pushed it pretty damn hard. It gets hot but not untouchable or so warm I can't handle the touchpad
