junk bbq sauce. HF corn syrup should never be #1 ingredient in any proper BBQ sauce

Try their Ray's No Sugar added, it tastes identical and doesn't have HF or rediculous amounts of sugar, it's my go-to sauce now.

tomato paste/puree, mustard, vinegar or mayo depending on which regional base BBQ you are looking for.

This stuff used to be great, long ago, but they switched the sugar out for high-fructose corn syrup and now it just isn't right.

Was the best sauce on the market for slow-cooking ribs though. Stubb's makes a decent substitute but it still ain't the same...

This is really bad in ingredients. If you put enough high fructose corn syrup, it is cheaper for them and people love it and it becomes addictive.

Agreed. Stubbs is pretty good in my book. Not sure how ingredients compare as I haven't lately checked.

They're still using brown sugar, for the time being at least.

Hopefully they won't go the same route in the pursuit of an extra $0.002 profit per bottle...

It's odd that they did this. Most companies are doing just the opposite...nixing the use of high-fructose corn syrup in their products.

Have you tried other brands? Publix...a south eastern line of grocery stores has Stubb's BBQ sauces on sale. If you try the "sticky sweet", you'll throw that Sweet Baby Rays in the trash bin. Lol.
If you like tomato based sauce with a strong vinegar kick I highly recommend Lambert's Sweet Sauce o Mine Sweet n Spicy Vinegar.

I agree! It should be apple cider vinegar!

How long does this stuff last? Have one bottle that is open that's been in the fridge and one bottle that's unopened, both of which are ~2 years old.
