I got the Porsche 911 targa from them. Takes a long ass time to arrive (like 1 month) but it was cheaper than anywhere else and seems legit. Then again, I don't know if anyone makes fake legos this detailed, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I am missing 1 piece so far, but it seems that Lego will send you missing pieces for free by going to their website and filling out a form.

This is a very good price-per-piece and a great build. Highly recommend. For the uninitiated, large sets like these take a anywhere from 6-10 hours to complete.

I already bought the 911 from this sale, and I was going to grab the 488 gte too, but after looking at the defender more closely I think I'll go with that.

I have zero attachment to the land Rover brand, but that 4 speed transmission and working high and low range sounds like a fun build!

I built this very set over the last weekend. Took about 15 hours with leisurely pace. Playing with the gearbox was a lot of fun, although accessing it after completion is quite difficult (=hard to detach roof, etc. once completed.)

Wish the engine could take a long rod attached and simulate the entire drivetrain by rotating the engine shaft.

We bought this from costco last year. Don't remember what we paid, but my 11 year old built it. This is one of those sets that you really really need to pay attention with if you are having a kid do it. A small mis-step in the gearing and the whole thing needs to come apart. Happened early during the build and some of the pistons didn't move. Ended up completely tearing it down to fix it. Neat set though!

I had a small misstep near the beginning that prevented the rear wheels from rotating. I almost started taking it completely apart because I had no idea what went wrong, but found this excellent resource:

it has a lot of good info with videos. instead of complete rebuild, I was able to repair in 5-10 min.
