Like the title says, this is only $149.99 at Costco right now. Sorry I don't have a link or anything as it's no longer on their site for some reason (must be phasing them out). But thought I would post this to give others a heads up. Sticker on the shelf said price was good until 8-31. Think it's pretty hot IMO since previously it was $200 on sale and normally went for $300. Has 4k HDMI Passthrough (HDMI in and out). Alexia, and a few other bells and whistles. And best part is it's not a Vizio sound bar - had 3 of those go tits up on me plus a couple of their TVs. I'll be glad to answer any other questions you guys have.

QA Note: Item # 1109090, thanks 240SXFAN

Had this before I switched to a Samsung QT800. The sound was good and had a few nice features (e.g., wifi connection, control via remote and Alexa integration). $150 is the lowest for this this soundbar.

I've got this sound bar and enjoy it. Is important to note that it doesn't pass through Dolby Vision video. Dolby Vision does work fine when the media device is connected via ARC.

LOL, the least I could've done was posted the item #. Sorry I can add it to the original post. That way anyone can call to find out if it's in stock before going there. Don't know if this the remainder of the stock that they had and are clearing out or what the deal is so this could be a YMMV sort of thing for all I know. The store I went to in Glen Burnie, MD had several of them there. I still can't believe that they don't have it on their site any longer. Don't understand the disjoint of their store and website in this day and age. Even with a store like BJs, you can view your past in store purchases.

Edit: If anyone wants to look over reviews/specs or whatever then I'm about 90% sure that the YAS-209 [bestbuy.com] is the non-costco equivalent.

Why did you switch, have any trouble with the Yamaha (I hope not LOL)? This M51a-H6 [costco.com] is the vizio soundbar I purchased early in the year for $200, only lasted a month or so. Got a replacement from Costco and then that one died a month later. It's a shame with Vizio products; really good bang for the buck but they sure cut corners. Anyway, just got around to exchanging/replacing it with this Yamaha today (luckily soundbars are excluded from that 90 day return period for a lot of electronics - wasn't sure about that until today). Before I went, I was looking at their site seeing what was on sale this week and was gonna go with the Samsung HW-Q59CT/ZA [costco.com] which is $100 off for $280. Was pleasantly surprised to see this Yamaha there for more than $100 less than that Samsung one I was considering. Don't really know which one is better but looking at reviews, a lot of people complain about lack of bass with that particular samsung soundbar. The samsung one is advertised as 5.1, but clearly there are no satellite speakers included with it so I don't know if that's one of those soundbars where you need to add them on.

How does the Yahama 2090 compare to the Vizio M51a-H6? Volume? Bass? I know it's not apples-to-apples because of the lack of satellite speakers....

I also had the Vizio M51a-H6 soundbar. It was great until it stopped working. ARC connection was unreliable. First unit stopped working entirely (wouldn't power on). Second unit experienced similar problems.

I just put in an order for the Samsung HW-A58C/ZA 5.1ch Soundbar (https://www.costco.com/samsung-hw...402.html). $330 after discount. A bit spendy, but I'm happy to spend the money to avoid problems. That Vizio system was an utter disaster.

After placing the Samsung order (which arrives in two days), I saw the Yahama 2090 for $150 at my local Costco on Saturday. Not a bad price, but I'm trying to understand if the $180 price of the Samsung unit is worth the upgrade. I could live without the satellite speakers of the new Samsung unit....

The Samsung looks to be a new 2021 unit with very little information online. To date, the reviews on Costco.com seem pretty good.....

The 2021 Samsung HW-Q59CT seems to be a rebadged 2020 Samsung HW-Q6CT. The 2020 Samsung HW-Q6CT is missing the satellite rear speakers that was present in the 2020 Samsung HW-Q67CT that sold-out at $250 last month at Costco online and YMMV instore.

Do you know anything the 2021 Samsung HW-A58C/ZA 5.1ch Soundbar https://www.costco.com/samsung-hw...3402.html? Also a rebrand of the 2020 Samsung HW-Q6CT?

If the Yamaha 2090 is better than any Costco Samsung, I ought to stop by the warehouse tonight to pick up the Yamaha. The $149.99 deal was advertised as ending tonight at my local warehouse.

The 2021 Samsung HW-A58C/ZA 5.1ch is not a rebrand of the 2020 Samsung HW-Q6CT because the 2020 Samsung HW-Q6CT uses acoustic beam instead of satellite rear speakers to get its 5.1 channels. The 2021 Samsung HW-A58C/ZA 5.1ch seems to be all new because it does not contain a "T" in the model number but has an "A" in the model number instead.

Thanks for the feedback! Their model numbering system is certainly confusing.....

Man, it's a tough call. For one, I just set it up yesterday in my daughter's room and my first impressions are pretty good for a soundbar. It really needs time to break in but it seemed to have very good bass out of the box. It's also plenty loud enough too. Didn't have too much time to mess around with it but dialog seemed a bit muffled until I pressed the clear voice button (pretty sure that's what it's labeled) and that gave a nice boost to the upper midrange frequencies. I would say that the bass is slightly better than the Vizio but would really have to do a side by side comparison which is impossible LOL. My advise is to buy both if you can afford it and try them both out in home and return the one you don't like after a few weeks. All soundbars seem to have some issues if you look through reviews and it seems like Samsung ones can be rather flakey just like vizios (not quite as bad but you still see connection issues or issues with the wireless sub not syncing). If you want honest reviews just skip Amazon altogether and go to a site like best buy, or better yet a site like Crutchfield where it's pure AV.

Edit: Wouldn't wait to long if you're going to grab the Yamaha one because like I said previously, these might be gone for good once they run out of stock.

No problem. Get that Samsung soundbar set up yet? Other than you, are other people not finding it for this price or something? As I said, I'm in MD, what region are you in where you saw it for $150 also? Came back to this thread expecting a whole bunch of thumbs up since it's this is clearly the cheapest it's ever been (half price essentially) for a decent soundbar with both DD & DTS along with 4K passthrough (most cheaper soundbars only have an input so you end up sacrificing a HDMI input on the TV, the one with ARC). Maybe it's not this price at all Costcos or maybe there's no stock left, IDK???

I'm in the midwest. I swung my Costco last night, and the Yamaha system was priced at $300. It had been advertised in store last week at the $150 price you had mentioned. Last week, the advertiserable price was set to expire at the end of August. There are five units left in inventor. Weird that they jacked the price up if they're trying to clear the inventory.

My Samsung system arrived today. I haven't unboxed it yet. I didn't want to open it if I was going to replace it with the Yamaha system.
