Comes around every once in a while. Was $300 last Labor Day and again in January of this year. I ended up buying one each time. They're great for spreadsheeting / productivity.

I find the vertical viewing angles to be really poor. I can't find a good position to look at it and have the top and the bottom of the screen have good contrast at the same time. Text gets grayed out towards the bottom. Probably going to send it back and stick with the 27" IPS

Doesn't sound weird at all, actually. You got a better product for your needs.

Google "S3221QS noise" before you purchase. I just returned this a few months ago because it does in fact make a high pitch noise from the right side of the monitor at times. If you turn the monitor off then back on it stops, I think lowering the volume all the way stops it as well. Anyhow, monitor is fine other than the noise which will drive you nuts.

Seems like their Alienware monitors are better.

Does 60 Hz matter if you don't play video games? Honest question.

60Hz is not an issue on the IPS panel 27" version (S2721QS) as my daily driver with non-demanding old games like original Broodcraft and solitaire. It is a fantastic productivity monitor with superb text. Decent looking out of the box but shined after monitor calibration.

But this deal is for a 32" VA monitor, so may be apples to oranges.

I cannot speak to play with recent games but have read that the latest Nvidia RTX 3080 cards run these 4K monitors for a very good experience. 1440 monitors remain the sweet spot for game play.

Check out rtings. You can compare one monitor against another in their database (see bottom of article for links to start comparing).

Thanks for the info. Would you recommend the S2721QS over this? 27" would be fine for me.

Now debating between this and SAMSUNG S70A Series 32-Inch 4K UHD which is available for $310 on Samsung Education store.

60hz? Why would you ever pay over $200 for a 60hz?
Because you can't buy a 4k 32 inch display for less than 200. With that said this has been 300 and 325 a few times the last year so not the best deal at this price.

Screen size and resolution. Traders need a lot of screen real estate to keep tracking of a lot of different things. Large screen and low resolution results in a burry mess.
