1. The "learning" wasn't very good for me. I bumped up the heater temperature once for guests visiting for half a day on a Saturday and somehow the nest decided to set that temperature everyday from then on. I had it set to a lower temperature for months.
2. you can't set the temperature to be the average of all your sensors. you have to pick a single sensor or your nest only.
3. You can't tell google home to set the temperature based on the sensor you want. you have to do it through the app.
4. you can't set specific temperature hours if you want to set the temperature based off your sensor at a specific time. there's only morning, midday, evening, and night options. Evening is 4pm to 9pm and unchangeable. so if you wanted to set a baby room's sensor to a specific temperature at 7pm and then switch back to use your nest's built in sensor at 7am you're out of luck unless you do it manually.
If I had to buy a thermostat now, I'd give ecobee a shot instead

If you're a data nerd, the temp sensors are addictive! After buying 2 sets of the thermostats and temp sensors from Costco, I bought additonal sensors (from Staples with discounts), which let'me adjust the oberall temperature based on a certain room/area (either manually or with an automated schedule).

What's the difference between Google Nest thermostat and this?
