I believe this is actually 220 nit.. 45% NTSC too, and gloss? Yeah no.. HP pavillion 13t has a 400 nit 16:10 QHD at 679$ 5600U
Still waiting for the comment "250nit - I'm out" lol
I have the same model without the touch screen. Bought it last year and upped the ram to 32gb. It's fast and I have every database you can think of running plus Python, visual studio and other tools. It's gets warm when running a lot at the same time. But normally it's fine. Battery lasts a good time under normal use too.

Of course dual channel is better, but my question is whether it supports OVER 32gb and if it supports 32gb stick at all. I am trying to find a laptop that will work with 64gb.
I know thats more than average user needs, my tasks are not average at all.
Max memory on this laptop is 32gb. https://dl.dell.com/topicspdf/ins..._en-us.pdf

Sometimes hardware manufacturers support more than what their specs say; I assumed the user had already seen those specs. The 2010-2012 Apple Mac Pro 5,1 dual CPU, for example, was documented as supporting 64GB, but you could actually populate it with up to 128GB of RAM.

just got this delivered. Weighed it on my scale 3 lb 9.7 oz. When I took it out of its box darn it was 2 inches wider than I was expecting. Then the heft I was sure it was more than the laptop this is meant to replace.

Just weighed it, an old Dell 14" I have that has a system problem where pressing the power button (it lights up) but nothing else happens, so it does not boot up and this issue got progressively worse across these past 5 months.

This Dell is 3 lb 11 oz. I was surprised.

The display appears to be kinda drabby and boring. Anyone have suggestions on what to tweak the radeon software settings to optimize the image?

I am going to play around with the laptop to see if I want to keep it. The display panel does not flex much, I was anticipating more flex than it does so that's good.

I would like to take the 2.5 inch samsung SSD I have in my old Dell, and clone it into this new Dell Inspiron.

ANy pointers as to a good app to do this? I don't mind paying for the app.

I have an unreleased review video in draft covering everything about this. I had the 8GB/256 model. Performance is pretty mixed, but the iGPU is enough for esports. DRAFT - Dell 5515 Review Sample - Editor Divan https://youtu.be/LtOrVx0XW9I

Hell yes; you're proposing Intel which is years away from catching up; and the screen resolution is comically last-decade.
