Yeah, you can complain that it's a slow drive, but for folks needing capacity during this storage shortage, it's hard to get 8TB format at ~$17.19 per TB. Get it for chia, archives, whatever.

general rule is NOT to use SMR drives as internal drives if you are planning on constantly writing and rewriting to them..
