I have a plex server on an i3 running over hardwired network to my shield pro, 4tb "standard" external HD plugged in USB 3 as a NAS to the back of my router. Will this "slower" drive cause playback issues? My 4tb is full =(.

general rule is NOT to use SMR drives as internal drives if you are planning on constantly writing and rewriting to them..
