Good deal, this is actually the first time I have seen a larger DC title (this one 350 pages) for under $5.99.
I have have gotten plenty of Marvel's over the years, as Amazon will continually have several titles for $2.99- but have picked up few DC at that price.

Looks like there are a couple other collected Batman arcs on sale for $2.99:

Lots of the same titles as the Amazon link I posted above, but some better selections, for instance they have all of Y The Last Man volumes for $2.99, where Amazon only has the first two - I just prefer Amazon as I can use no-rush credits.

Is this the same as the New 52 court of owls? I want to read more graphic novels, but I get confused which ones people are talking about since a lot of them end up being named the same thing. (Court of owls dc essential, court of owls new 52, Batman noir court of owls)

Sorry for my ignorance. Just very confused.

Looks like this "essential" court of owls is a collected edition of New 52 trade paperbacks Court of Owls and City of Owls. It's a two part story so this is the full story. I believe the Noir version is the same story just a black and white art edition. Highly recommend if you haven't read. Its a great read and really kicks off Scott and Greg's run on Batman perfectly. White Knight and Hush are quality Batman reads as well.

Y: the Last Man is a excellent series too. Super easy and fun read if you're new to comics but want something that's not superheroes. Soon to be a show on FX

Is this comic part of the long Halloween? Long Halloween is in my queue. I'll pick up court of owls if it's separate.

So many iconic story arcs in my comic reader I want to get to. Always knew of them from different interpretations in other media, but I've never really actually read the comics. Pretty excited about several of them.

Not to be "that guy" (I still buy lots of DC on Comixology) but just FYI pretty much all of this is available to borrow digitally for free in the U.S. if you have access to the Hoopla app through your public library. It is not as good a reading experience, but pretty darn good for the price.
