Hawaii asks visitors to stay away until at least November as they are having a terrible Covid surge and hospitals are full. In addition service is not very good and long wait times for restaurants and everything else. They are understaffed and too many tourists. Stay home.

I'm able to get same price with Hawaiian Airlines out if Ontario, CA (ONT) which is better if you live in the IE.

Even u don't live in IE, I think ONT is still better choice, unless you are very close to LAX, but the bad thing if I need ride share to get there, then only commercial taxi is available.

I take Uber/Lyft to ONT pretty frequently. The thing is you gotta schedule your ride in advance to avoid being stranded on the day you're departing. Getting rides back from the airport haven't been an issue.

Hilariously sad that Hawaii wants/needs to clamp down, yet all these people still want to go there, and the airlines/hotels ain't gonna stop them.

I don't disagree with that. 🤙. Uber doesn't go to ONT. No issues with Lyft though. I took one to and from ONT two weeks ago.

Being from the east coast, seeing a nonstop flight to Hawaii, my first thought was, where could it stop, the sky mall? I don't think of the individual islands.
