If you want better GPU power, then yes. But the thing is not everybody wants that. This has a brighter display, a lot superior build quality, lighter and better selection of ports and people looking for a modern and powerful UltraBook, this is a better choice.
Just think one thing, you're saying Swift X is better because it has a powerful GPUY, right? In that logic, every other premium UltraBooks with integrated Graphics, are worse isn't it.. whether it is Dell XPS 13, Lenovo Yoga 9i, ThinkPad X1 Nano, HP Spectre x360 13...because they all costs more than Swift X with similar configuration but don't have dedicated GPU.

I agree with you but the swift x is made up of mostly metal but this laptop is mostly plastic with a metal lid. Also, I don't think that the addition of 0.3 pounds is significant to anyone. The zenbook 14 is not even in the same league as xps and surface products as this is more of a mid tier Ultrabook where as they are high end

I am not sure what you're smoking which make you think that this ZenBook 14 is mostly plastic. It is metal from top to bottom and very strong build. And regarding Swift X, just because it is metal does not mean it is equivalent to any laptop having metal build. Check the reviews from Mathew Moniz. The keyboard deck, Display Lid has reasonable amount of flex and the display wobble a lot.
And ZenBook 14 does have a pretty solid build quality and they are comparable to XPS series or HP Spectre Series. You are doing your comparison based on price, not actual quality.
Anyway, one review for you https://laptopmedia.com/in/review...rformance/
Why can't I find a headphone jack in any of the pictures? This could be a deal breaker for me.
I think Asus dropped the headphone jack on this line of laptops a while ago. I get it why manufacturers would do it on some ultra thin phones (but I still hate not having a headphone port for long flights etc.), but there is just no excuse not to have one on a 3lbs laptop. Yes, I'm sure everyone has a bluetooth headset at this point, but not having the flexibility of using a pair of wired headphones with your laptop without clunky dongles is not great. It's not a complete deal breaker for me like it seems to be for you as, but it is annoying. I have a Samsung Note 10+ without a headphone jack, and I miss not being able to pick up my Philips SHP9500 and just plug it in, or my ultra comfy Bose Soundsport earphones. I do have the dongle, but it makes me less inclined to use my wired headphones with my phone.
Having said that, the specs on this thing look great if you are okay with 16:9. I have pretty much decided that my next laptop will be 16:10 (with a few exceptions), so I'll wait for the next generation. Also, this is a 35-45W CPU, which is an odd choice for this form factor. You would think they would have used the 15-25W 5800U. Even the lower watt CPU would have a hard time with thermals in this thin chassis at 25W, so I am curious to see how the 5800H does at 35W. Asus does have some experience with the 35W 4900/5900HS in their still relatively compact G14 series, so maybe they transferred some of the knowhow to this series.
Edit: As the OP mentioned, the official specs do mention a "1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack", so they must have brought it back! Awesome if that's the case.

Which is the better deal, this computer or the one I have listed below which would cost 1,044.98?
Natural Silver
Windows 11 Home 64 Plus
AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800U (up to 4.4 GHz, 16 MB L3 cache, 8 cores, 16 threads) AMD Radeon™ Graphics 16 GB Memory (Onboard)
13.3" diagonal, WQXGA (2560 x 1600), IPS, micro-edge, anti-glare, 400 nits
1 TB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
Microsoft® 365 Personal 1 Year - Save $20 instantly
Security Software Trial
3-cell, 43 Wh Li-ion polymer
No DVD or CD Drive
Full-size island-style backlit keyboard NSV
HP Wide Vision 720p HD camera with integrated dual array digital microphones (NSV)
Realtek Wi-Fi 6 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5.2 combo (Supporting Gigabit data rate)
HP Pavilion Aero 13 Laptop PC
I think I'm sticking with my backorder for https://www.newegg.com/pine-gray-...6834235723. Slightly lower CPU performance in exchange for lower TDP (15W vs 45W) combined with the slightly larger battery should make for a decent increase in battery life.

Depends on what specs matter most to you. 43 WHr battery is too small for me. The ASUS has a 67 WHr battery. A slightly bigger screen on the ASUS but much lower resolution.
