keep in mind that when running on propane, you aren't getting the full 2kw peak. That rating is using gas. propane produces 10-15% less. Not a deal breaker for most, just something to know before going into if you are planning to max it out.

I've used a Duromax XP2000EH for three years now. I have over 400 hours on it. I've used I through three major hurricanes now in Louisiana for 5+ days straight during each.

On propane, I can run a normal refrigerator/freezer and a 5k BTU window unit. With various other electronics. Normally get around 12h on a 20lb tank.

Note the Amazon model includes the 12v adaptor, and the Walmart model swaps it for the set of USB charging ports.

Deals on dual fuel versions of these 2000W class generators are far and few between. This is a great price (a few other places have it for about the same). For a long time, the Champion 1700W running, 2000W peak (on gas) generators weren't much cheaper than the Champion generators rated for 1850W running, 2500W starting. I have one of the 2500W peak Champions, but now that there is a $150 difference I wouldn't pay the extra $ to get 150 Watts more of running/continuous power.

Absolutely the same motor. Probably slightly different inverter. Great deal for sure.

I've been tracking this price for a while and just pulled the trigger. I have a much larger generator that is way too loud. All I really want is to be able to run the fridge during extended outages.

Thanks for posting. I bought the one from Walmart because it has the dual USB ports. Same price and free shipping. It even looks better as it isn't all banana yellow. Champion Power Equipment 200959.
I believe everything else is the same.

Bought it to run the fan on my wood burning stove insert through the night if power is out. Those things light up like Christmas if the fan goes out.

Been looking for a generator for awhile and ready to pull the trigger. Is the 12v port better to have than dual USB since you can just put the adapter in the 12v slot? Not sure what else to use a 12v port for. Thoughts?

Pull the trigger. Oddly enough I'm in New Orleans right now and gas lines are off the chain. A week without power.

I evacuated to Alabama. Bought a big, 8750 starting watt, inverter generator from Harbor Freight but it's open frame (loud) and gas only. I can buy an after market propane conversion but don't think I'll bother. This is a great deal but can't bring myself to buy a second generator when I've already spent a ton of money in the last week prepping to go back.

I place the order because it had a deal for $88 a month for 5 months. With a payment of 133 at shipment which is September 17th. But I might cancel alot of reviews of it being hard to start on propane giving me 2nd thoughts.

Not sure which one is better... noise level is abt same. One has higher power and one is lighter.

OP here. Already got the unit of my purchase from yesterday. I am running it on propane to break-in the engine as I type this. I didn't bother putting any gasoline in since I have another 8 year old 2kw A-iPower one from Costco that is gasoline only. This one is a backup to it and also to give me the flexibility to use an alternative fuel source (got plenty of the 20lb propane tank for BBQ, outdoor heaters, etc.)

The first time starting took couple more pull than I liked but it started without problem. I think the key here is to make sure you gently pull 3 to 5 times with choke to purge the line of air and fill it with propane. Once that is done, turn the dial to "propane" and give it a couple of good pulls. Mine started on the 3rd or 4th pull but worked fine after that. I have re-tried disconnecting the propane line and re-set everything and it started at the 1st or 2nd pull on the next try. No problem once I got the hang of it.

Compared to the A-iPower from Costco (which has an official Yamaha engine), this is slightly quieter. As the wife says, "quiet generator is an oxymoron" so your perception is YMMV. That said, I don't think Champion is lying about the noise level at 53 decibel (probably measured at the industry "standard" of 23 feet way). It is day-n-night difference when compared to my neighbors 8kw open-frame monster. That one will attract all the zombies to the neighborhood.

Obviously can't give any long term review. However, I am more than happy with the purchase so far. Couple link to 3rd party reviews below:
