keep in mind that when running on propane, you aren't getting the full 2kw peak. That rating is using gas. propane produces 10-15% less. Not a deal breaker for most, just something to know before going into if you are planning to max it out.

I've used a Duromax XP2000EH for three years now. I have over 400 hours on it. I've used I through three major hurricanes now in Louisiana for 5+ days straight during each.

On propane, I can run a normal refrigerator/freezer and a 5k BTU window unit. With various other electronics. Normally get around 12h on a 20lb tank.

Note the Amazon model includes the 12v adaptor, and the Walmart model swaps it for the set of USB charging ports.

Official specification says 1.1 gallon should run for 11.5 hour or a 20-lb tank for 34 hours. Typically manufacturer quotes things like this at 25% load. So in your case maybe 3 or 4 gallons for 2 days, but I highly doubt you need that much.

I have measured my french door LG fridge's energy usage (sized at 25 or 26 cubic feet) and it is really efficient. Startup energy aside, it only take about 150 watts while it is actively running. I think my fridge needed about 2kWh worth of energy every day. I really think one 20-lb tank would probably last you 2 days if don't leave the generator running 24/7. Maybe I would run it 2 or 3 hours as needed to cool the fridge and turn it off for 3 or 4 hours. Rinse and repeat.

The good thing about this generator is that you can use propane. It is much easier to store propane (vs. gasoline). Propane doesn't go "bad" like gasoline so you really don't need to add stabilizer and rotate the gas cans to keep it fresh. That said, it does make sense to start your generator every couple month to keep it lubricated.

After looking at Wirecutter's reviews, this generator is rated well but totally left out of the conversation for its lack of Carbon Monoxide detection feature. I would think as long as you keep it away from the house, that it's not really an issue?

In for one. Duel fuel inverter generators are the only ones I'll use now. I wish they put gas shutoffs on all these so you don't have to clean the carbs or have to run the gas down every time.

What am I missing? HF is greater than a $100 more than this one, it's running capacity is also 100W less. It's gas only and this one is dual fuel. Dont see the warranty on HF but this comes with a 3 year warranty.
