On propane, I can run a normal refrigerator/freezer and a 5k BTU window unit. With various other electronics. Normally get around 12h on a 20lb tank.

I run one 12/3 extension off the top row of plugs and another off the bottom and then distribute power through the house off those extension cords. I'm running a 7000 watt genny.
It is critical you don't go cheap on the cords or else you will have problems like a fire so be smart. I recommend 12/3 only as main extension cords off the panel and then you can go a little lower like 14/3 but honestly, 12/3 ensures no issues and allows you max flexibility without dealing with which cord is 12/3 or 14/3 or a family member not knowing which to use if you arent around.
They are pricey but shop carefully and build up your inventory when they are "cheaper".
Or do you run these from a garage with the doors open or something?
