Seeing a lot of discounts on this model recently. Is Google finally coming out with an updated Learning Thermostat? The one they released recently is a cheaper version that is not as fancy as this one.

Just a FYI: I placed my order for these last time they were on sale on 8/27. My estimated delivery date is 9/8. Terribly slow shipping from Buy Dig. I selected free shipping but if I knew it would have taken 2 weeks I would have upgraded.

Btw, why do people need more than one learning thermostat? Isn't one enough and you temperature sensor for other parts of your home?

Multi zones need multiple thermostats, usually.

Some rich people, like myself, have 2 systems with 2 separate thermostats: one upstairs and one downstairs.

As stated above, it's for homes with more than 1 furnace.

And there are some people even richer, like me, that have 3 zones and would need a 3 pack. Any other rich people wanna go halves on an extra 2 pack

Even though I bought both of mine, couple of days ago electric companies were given them away for free. The "lite" models of Nest I mean, sorry I forgot what they are called.

You three-zoners wouldn't *understand* the HVAC struggles of a four-zoner (4-Zs we like to call ourselves at our meetings). #RichPeopleProbems #MoMoneyMoThermostats

I have multiple homes, I am a landlord. I have Nest on two of them, but thinking about switching to Ring on the next one. Although I don't think Ring even has a thermostat
