With Costco citi card you would get 4 years of warranty.

This deal seems to be pretty good however Samsung washer/dryer have a pretty bad rep. Have they improved their QC? I can't imagine Costco selling in volume inferior appliances especially with their generous return policy. Any thoughts?

So $1450 for a washer and dryer to last 4 years is a slick deal?Confused

If this is true then I guess we got damn lucky with ours! we have this set in white without the Wi-Fi and they've been going since our youngest daughter was a baby, she's nine years old now.
Edit: and also minus the additional door on front the washer.

ya know what's funny, I hate Samsung electronics but somehow own several of their TV's and appliances. None of them have failed me over the 9-10 years I've owned them, go figure.

4 years sounds pretty reasonable but you can't compare what was 9-10 years ago to nowadays quality. This is apply to every manufacturer.

So what is it now, better or worse? For anything mechanical the quality has been on the decline over the last 20 years as manufacturers constantly shave costs.

This is a great price. Good reviews on this on costco.com and great reviews on best buy.

The whole idea is to manufacture low quality and force into buying new stuff instead of having
items working long time. Most of the stuff you cannot even take apart without breaking and before you can just unscrew and fix.

I concur, I bought a new Samsung combo and luckily did a big repair under warranty within 2yrs. Significant problem considering washer was out for 2wks. Never again.

Name a brand and I bet I can find a ton of people complaining they broke within a year or two. This isn't specific to Samsung and good luck finding anything of quality anymore.
