Users need to be proactive as well. Pests aren't going to blindly walk into these and die. They'll circle around and find a spot you miss. That's their entrance. Do some inspection and seal openings. Not just on the ground but look at ceilings as well. Moping especially too soon could remove or reduce the chemical effectiveness. Clean up. A barrier doesn't work if the pests are already nesting inside.
If you own pet(s), may be consider spraying on the outside of the house and wait for it to dry before letting your pet(s) near it.
