i bought two bottles of this recently and it absolutely doesn't remove anything from bugs. Still worth the buy for this price tho.

As with most rainWAX products it deposits thin layer of similar to wax product on the windshield so that initial "treatment" helps with future deposits not sticking as much.
It does wear out especially after lots of rain so it's best few hours before the trip to spray in on the wind shield so it develops that film.
It's not a miracle fix but it does help at least in my experience.

For 32+ just use water and a splash of dish soap - for lower, water and a splash of cheap vodka (or dare I say hand sanitizer?)...
