8GB is enough for "99%" of users, unless you listen to a lot of audiobooks, and read books with a lot graphic contents, eg comic books. By the way you can always delete and redownload books in your library at any time.

I have one and I load it exclusively with .mobi files from outside of the Amazon store. You'll have to use a software like Calibre (free) to convert any .epub files you have.

Bought one is the last deal posted on SD ($70.99 without any coupon). This is a even better deal!

That said, is there any way to get a partial refund on my previous purchase? That item was a gift and cannot be returned. The coupon doesn't seem to work for me (prime student account). Can I open another prime student account using the same email? TIA

Amazon doesn't do partial refunds. The most they'd do is give you a $5 promo code for the inconvenience. You'd have to return and rebuy.
