Conclusion from the video....
If you're looking for a water filter that's going to do a good job of cleaning up the water leaving the minerals alone but taking out some of the impurities the, Aquaphor seems like a great option
ZeroWater did a great job of cleaning up the water, removing the impurities including the iron.
And finally I really like the reverse osmosis that's offered by the AquaTrue, it does a great job.

Yes, they are great filters, but only worth it as a solution if your water isn't that saturated with stuff to begin with.
Funny story on that. I was looking at 4x10 inch sediment filter replacements for my whole house setup on well water. A lot of reviews complain that the some filters gets noticeably dirty quickly. Yeah, it's doing its job... you have crappy water. On those it comes down to flow. Replace when flow is reduced.

I'm ok with Zero water. In fact I'm ok with most filter systems as I've seen how bottled water companies do their bottling and have stopped paying for bottled water for the house.

That's why you can buy both purified water and distilled water (plus sprint water, etc) in supermarket. Pretty much depend on your "taste" and your believe.
I live in an area now with great water and get a long life out of these (6-12 months). I don't change them when the meter is 10, but before that when the water starts to smell. Eventually, there may be some trapped sludge or something else that could be our own usage-hygiene too.
ZW is great water. Funny story: My mother actually bought one for me years ago. During a phone call a few months later, she mentioned that she loves it and uses it for watering her garden flowers, when boiling water for pasta, etc. I asked if she ever checked the water with her meter. After she tested it for the first time it registered the same as her tap water of course. She must have used it for hundreds of gallons.
