MASSIVE upgrade over the stock Elagia pad and for $500 or so (before tax) for the Elagia and the Dekoni pads you're getting a killer pair of headphones. Punch way above their price bracket.
I wasn't a huge believer in swapping out pads and stuff but after trying it out I'm a huge fan. Took about ten seconds and it's so easy you could train a chimpanzee to do it.

But I also got them recently on this recurring sale and the soundstage is breathtaking for a closed-back headphone. Bass is present all the way to the bottom frequencies but not very forward or boosted. Highly recommend them.

I wanted to like the Elegia, and bought them for the closed-back/isolation, but they haven't really done well for that purpose, and I'm use to the sound of my Elex, which probably biases me against them further…
The problem I have with these is the sound stage, low end, and the sound of the ear cups. These do not provide much sound stage at all, it sounds like your music is being played only inches away from your ears even at low volumes. Even with binaural mixes these sound too close no matter what you pair these with. The low end is tight for what it does play but you're missing sounds/information from the track because the drive simply isn't tuned for bass. When you get up to the low mids and mid mids you can hear the echo from the ear cups. It sounds like your head is inside of a bucket and sound is being reflected. This isn't the worst thing and it could've been done intentionally to mimic a little reverb, but it was done in a weird manner. It's almost like you're listening to an out of phase set of speakers and it causes a tactile and uncomfortable sensation in the inner ear.
I wouldn't tell someone not to buy these, I would just want to make sure they're using these for classical, female vocals and almost mixing level detail for instruments. Other than that there are far better headphones, for music consumption, in this price range.
